Products & Pricing
A product catalog and price books that quote themselves
Configure-price-quote software starts here — the Configure-and-Price half of CPQ: a real product catalog with cost, margin, and tax, priced by scoped price books (customer tier, territory, or partner) with effective dates and quantity tiers. The pricing engine resolves the right number, so every quote is right the first time.
One catalog, priced your way
Keep every product with its price, cost basis, margin, tax rate, and billing cadence in one place — so a quote is built from the truth, not a copied-over spreadsheet line.
The right price, automatically
Scoped price books mean a partner, a territory, or a customer tier each see their own pricing — and the engine picks the most specific active book and quantity tier for you.
Margin you can see
Because cost lives next to price, every product carries its margin — and per-SKU performance shows what's actually selling and how much revenue it's booked.
How it works
Every part, explained.
Add a product
Give it a SKU, price, cost basis, margin, tax rate, billing cadence, status, and tags. Search and filter the catalog by category or tag.
Create a price book
Make a named, scoped price list — tenant default, or specific to a customer tier, territory, or partner — and set it active with a from/to effective date.
Set quantity tiers
Add volume breaks so a price book entry charges less per unit above a minimum quantity, without manual math on the quote.
Let the engine resolve
When a product hits a quote, the pricing engine picks the most specific active price book (partner over territory over tier), then the best quantity tier — falling back to list price.
Quote from it
The resolved price flows into the quote builder, where reps can still discount within your approval rules. No copy-paste, no stale numbers.
Watch performance
Per-SKU performance rolls up units sold and booked revenue from real orders, so you can see which products carry the number.
Deep dive
Everything that's in the box.
Cost basis & margin %
Store what a product costs you alongside what you sell it for, so margin is visible on every line — not reconstructed in a spreadsheet later.
Per-product tax (VAT)
Each product carries its own tax rate, which snapshots onto the quote line — so mixed-tax quotes total correctly without manual overrides.
Scoped price books
Named price lists scoped to a customer tier, territory, or partner — so the same product can carry different prices for different relationships.
Effective-dated pricing
Give a price book a from/to window so a price change or a promo turns on and off on schedule, with priority resolving overlaps.
Quantity-tier pricing
Volume breaks per price-book entry, so larger quantities automatically get the right per-unit price on the quote.
Pricing-resolution engine
Automatically selects the most specific active price book, then the best quantity tier, then falls back to list price — deterministic and explainable.
Billing cadence on products
Mark a product one-time, monthly, yearly, or usage. The cadence is captured on the catalog, ready for recurring billing as it lands.
Per-SKU performance
Units sold, order count, and booked revenue per product, drawn from live orders — so the catalog tells you what's working.
