Export a report to CSV

Take any of the core reports out to a spreadsheet in one click — for a board deck, a custom slice, or to combine with data from another tool — with amounts in your workspace currency.

Updated August 2026

Built-in reports answer most questions, but sometimes you need the raw rows — to drop into a board deck, pivot a custom way, or join with data from another system. KudosCRM gives you one-click CSV export on the core reports so the numbers you read on screen are never trapped there.

This guide covers exporting a report to CSV, what's in the file, and how amounts are formatted. It's the honest pressure-release valve for the analytics that don't yet have a composable dashboard — when the built-in view isn't the exact cut you need, export and slice it yourself.

Who this is for

Anyone who needs report data in a spreadsheet — for a board deck, a custom analysis, or to combine with another tool.

Before you start

  • A report with data in it for the period you want to export.
  • Permission to view the report you're exporting.
  • A spreadsheet tool (or BI tool) to open the CSV in.

What's live vs. coming soon
One-click CSV export on the core reports is live, and amounts export in your workspace currency. Composable custom dashboards and natural-language 'ask your data' Q&A are on the roadmap and shown with a 'Soon' pill — until then, CSV export is the supported way to take a report further than the built-in view. Multi-currency FX conversion is also 'Soon', so figures export in the workspace's single currency.

Export a report to CSV

  1. Open the report you want
Go to the report you need — deal performance, the sales funnel, sales activity, or the revenue forecast — and confirm it's showing the right data on screen first.
  2. Set the period and filters
The export reflects what's on screen, so set the date range and any filters before you export. Exporting a filtered, scoped view keeps the spreadsheet focused instead of dumping everything.
  3. Click Export to CSV
Use the one-click export on the report. The file downloads immediately — there's no email-it-to-you delay or job queue for the core reports.
  4. Open it in your spreadsheet
Open the CSV in your spreadsheet tool. The columns mirror what the report shows on screen, so the figures match exactly — no reconciling two different numbers.
  5. Check the currency formatting
Amounts export in your workspace currency. Because FX conversion isn't applied, everything is in the one workspace currency, which keeps totals clean to sum and pivot.
  6. Slice, pivot, or present
From here it's your spreadsheet: pivot the funnel by stage, chart win rate over periods for a board slide, or join the rows with data from another system. The export is the bridge to any custom analysis the built-in reports don't cover yet.

What you get

  • Report data out of the CRM and into a spreadsheet in one click.
  • Columns that mirror the on-screen report, so the numbers reconcile.
  • Amounts in your workspace currency, clean to sum and pivot.
  • A way to build the custom slice that composable dashboards will cover later.

Frequently asked questions

Which reports can I export to CSV?

The core reports support one-click CSV export — deal performance, the sales funnel, sales activity, and the revenue forecast. Open the report, set the period and filters, and export; the file downloads immediately.

What's in the exported file?

The rows and columns that match what the report shows on screen for the period and filters you set. The figures reconcile exactly with the on-screen report, so you're not comparing two different numbers.

What currency do the exported amounts use?

Your workspace currency. Amounts export in the single workspace currency — FX conversion across currencies is on the roadmap and shown with a 'Soon' pill, so you won't see mixed currencies in one file.

Why export instead of building a custom dashboard?

Because composable custom dashboards are still on the roadmap (shown with a 'Soon' pill). CSV export is the honest, supported way to take a report into a custom slice today — pivot it, chart it, or combine it with another tool in your spreadsheet.

Is the export live or a scheduled job?

It's immediate for the core reports — click export and the file downloads. There's no overnight batch or email-it-later step to wait on.
